My Digital Life
If I could, I would time shift the rise of the sun so it suits my life better. But I can’t so I run through the morning routine. I press senseo for the perfect cup of coffee. I reach down to my laptop, no need to get the morning papers, hey I can use Google News UK to get my info.
I don’t have a radio anywhere near me when I get up, so I use my iPod to get me going in the morning, browse through all my podcasts and drinking my senseo. Having got out of bed its time for a bit of brekkie, but low on food. No problem back to the laptop to go to Tesco.com and go all my shopping in 20 mins and have it delivered to my door. Katie’s off for the weekend so I’m stuck for something to do. Guess what I do, back to Tesco DVD Rental to sort out my weekend.
Whats the name of that album I wanted? Hmm first stop iTunes lets see, ah there it is. I’ll preview a couple of tracks, perfect. Click buy and its downloaded by the time I’ve finished my coffee.
All in all I very geeky and I like my digital life. I can customise my information, browse google for virtually anything, do my banking in bed, stream all my music around the flat. I could watch a dvd streaming from one PC to another. If I even had Sky+ well then life would be sweet. I’d just set that bad boy to record what I wanted and watch it when I want. No more schedule clash it would be perfect. I have all the information I want, but some services (mainly goverment ones) should be better represented on the web. And if you think I have no life, ha I skpye my friends to arrange going to the pub for the quiz.
Come on I’m geeky but human interaction is always needed.
