I Wonder If I Have High Blood Pressure

Well after a what seems like ages at looking at the house the damn thing is ours on Friday we own it (or the bank does till we pay them back). So this means a few things manic packing tonight and tomorrow. I was supposed to be off tomorrow but things at work have gone tits up and its a very expensive contract I am going back to Barnsley (yay…not). Also I must make sure I contact all the lovely organisations that we pay all our money too!! So they know we’ve moved

It also means that we are going to be without broadband for a while now I think that I will feel this much more than katie will so no blogging, no podcasts and no world of warcraft.

Oh well owning our own house will be much better, but if you do see me wondering around twitching and saying things like “let me get that sheild its got +3 defence”, then don’t worry I’m going through a detox.

See ya in the new house.

When Buying A House

Greetings all

I was looking at the blog today and realised that I haven’t done an update (or at least a proper update) in quite a while. Well the house is going well we are (fingers crossed) planning to exchange next Friday with the completion next Friday. So as far as Katie and I know its going well but one thing I must make clear is that solicitors are useless. You have to keep hassling for anything, don’t expect an email or phone call. However being a home worker (cough - not much today - cough) I have been hassling our solicitors nearly everyday and when I do email its about 5 emails in a row. She ended up shouting at me in a email, I think she’s too stressed.

Katie is brilliant at organising (she is the list queen all bow down before her to do list ;-) and basically sorted out all the paperwork, last night we did the financial thing changing all the standing orders for the mortgage so that the bank gets paid (otherwise they repose your house or something like that) and I paid the first bit of money into our joint account, yay. We have also had a hassle sorting out where all the paperwork goes as the HSBC has numerous address for us. Even though we have asked everything to go the Flat Address, it is still going to the Flat Address, My Parents Address and Katie’s Address nice huh.

Also a slightly odd request as the people who read this have no musical skill I am looking for some intro/outro and sweepers for my podcast. It needs to be about 60sec for the intro and the style of music needs to be upbeat and funky if you know of anything or anyone please leave me a comment below so and I’ll get in contact with you. I’m updating the podcast to sound more professional (if such a thing is possible).

Other things on my mind. New guardian smaller and blue but is it any better? Petrol shortage who do we have to blame but ourselves as we are the ones creating the shortage. For fun we should try this somewhere else, get all members of one particular branch of a bank and get them all to go in and demand their money back. As the bank won’t have each customers money, they will have to close the bank causing chaos. The reason BTW why the bank doesn’t have your money is because it invests it.

Oh and I almost forgot to say thanks to the boy wonder himself, Robin for my birthday present which is 2 months and 3 weeks late but very well received. It was a Bloc Party’s album Silent Alarm. Now I have never listened to them but when I put it in I was quite surprised the album is brilliant I have already listened to it four times today. In true geek style when I put it in my machine this morning to listen to it before the first track, the album had been ripped and encoded (160k at VBR).

Speak to you guys later
