Google & China

If you didn’t know where have you been living. Google has now agreed to censor all its search results now and a lot of people aren’t happy about that. I’m in the process of writing a post dealing with all th ethical issues, well it’ll be nice to dust off the stuff I learnt at uni ;-)

The silliness of bluetooth

Ok on the way down to Taunton for a site visit i though i would turn on my bluetooth and see what happened. It turns out that people like to call their devices strange things one was called Stella Artois and another TizWaz. Sad thing was one no-one changed their standard pin code!

Where Does He Get Such Wonderful Toys

So it has been a long time since the last update and I’m sure thats always the case with me ;-) I have just come back from a two day national sales meeting. The best thing to come out of it is the new mobile phones. I am now the proud owner of a Xda Mini S.

Now its loaded with the usually. Bluetooth, Wireless, GPRS and phone. But the coolest thing is the sideout keyboard. Now we have only had these 2 days but I’ve already removed the stuff thats preloaded setup the device for use with Vodaphone instead of O2 and most important managed to sync over bluetooth. This is the most important because if you try and plug this into a pc it creates a new ip address which due to the way our laptops are setup, blocks it from connecting.

No wonder IT told me not to break it within the first week. I am trying Opera for mobile devices as the web browser and I’m quite impressed. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas for software.

Oh yeah and this was written on my Xda too!!

Monday Blues

Please please let me know that people out there feel the same. I have just started back at work today and apart from not having any energy to do anything and a complete lack of concentration I also have 3 major deadlines all for next week. I have to have a finished piece of software, a national sales meeting where we all have to do some silly team building stuff (you are the managers of the company, in your teams decided how to aim to move the company forward by doing PEST and SWOT analysis) and also a completely new revised version of SartoDispense. Aaaaarrrggghhhh!

2000 and Six Baby

Happy new year everyone.

Well with everyone now finally back to normal or back at work (well not me just yet, I don’t start back till the 9th). I thought I would make a little post wishing everyone good luck with all their new year’s resolutions. I for one have planned a couple but I don’t mean to tell them all. I have decided to learn a foreign language and using the BBC website have decided to try my hand at Italian. It is (in 12 weeks) suppose to make me fluent in “conversational” Italian. Which basically means phrases that one speaks but allows you to order a coffee and have a hotel room with a shower ;-)

I would also like to thank everyone for their gifts that Katie and I received for Christmas.

Also in a slightly sad sort of way I would like to say how good I though Doctor Who was over Christmas. I liked it a lot.

Speak to you guys again when I have something interesting to say.

PS: Flickr album for New Years Eve is up, I haven’t renamed the photos yet as there is a lot of them ;-)
