Hey There EuroBoy

Greetings All,

I write this while I am currently delayed by an hour waiting to get our of Germany (Hamburg), to my home and an actual bed and sleep some reasonable hours. As of late (the past 3 weeks, because of this I am updating all my posts) I have been in a crunch mode for work which has meant many hours coding and supporting customers at the sametime which ash left me little time to do anything or even get sleep. I have been starting working 12 hour days and longer when possible. However the effort was worth it as I have been in with the German development team showing them our recipe product and then they showed us theirs. There were differences and although theirs looked nice our was actually a nice product and far more flexible (if I do say myself) however the meeting was succesful and I still have a job and there are some exciting things happening. But I am using NDA agreement (No Damn Announcements) so stay tuned for more later.

So I am hoping to get home before 11pm.

Wish Me Luck

Paddy’s Day Surprise

Right, now I just need to say this from the off, I love Katie I think she’s best girlfriend in the world. The reason for this being I have just had one of the best weekends ever. Katie organised a surprise for me which had apparently been sorted out for ages. I met Jon in the Science Museum (where we watched a totally ace imax film called Deep Sea 3D as you can see I look great in my 3D glasses), again another surprise and had a great day walking around looking at stuff and went for dinner at Chillies with Amelia as well. (I’m sorry for the choice I rememeber it being so much better, thinking about it now we should have gone into Pizza Express).

Katie had also bought me a new t-shirt I had been admiring which she had sneakly hidden into the bag of clothes she packed (she’s a sneaky devil). We then spent a wonderful Sunday walking around london looking at the Science Museum in a bit more detail, the Natural History Museum and also the Tate Modern.

It was as an fantastic weekend and helped to get my mind right off work during this code crunch time!

Thanks baby your the best :*

Visual Basic 2005 Help

[Geek]

Dear All,

I am not sure if you know anyone who could help me but I am trying to write a program in Visual Basic 2005 (the edition that comes with Visual Studio 2005) that can handle open serial ports and reading the data sent from a serial port.

I have done this in VB6 using the onComEvent however they have changed everything with .Net if you know anything please let me know, I’m doing this for work and it is casuing me a major amount of stress at the moment

Thanks

Unleashing 10-User Conferencing in Skype 2.0 / Windows for all CPUs

Unleashing 10-User Conferencing in Skype 2.0 / Windows for all CPUs Here’s a link to make patch skype so you can have 10-way calling, remeber to check the skype that you have, i though I had the most up to date but when I checked it was 2.0.0.89 so I just downloaded the latest version for skype directly. I suppose its useful when you have lots of contacts, me I have only 11 and I don’t think I would want to talk to everyone at once

Pancake Day

I would like to say happy pancake day to everyone in the UK (although it happened yesterday). For those of you outside the UK wondering what the hell is going on, Pancake Day is an English tradition its the one day a year that everyone in the UK has to eat pancakes otherwise they will be shot. I must admit I made a mighty short stack on pancakes last night, although I do enjoy the English style of pancakes (which is very similar to a crepé) I though I would have a go and make some think American style ones (although I had no maple syrup to pour over them). They were top notch and I’m sure Wendy you would have been proud. Now I know what I’m serving for breakfast when ever anyone stays over pancakes and bacon.
