The Baffled Cabbie

Following a court case involving Apple Computer and The Beatles’ record label, a floor manager had run to reception and grabbed the man, thinking he was , editor of Newswireless.net, a specialist internet publication.
Actually, he was a minicab driver who had been waiting to drive Mr Kewney home once the interview was completed. Watch his face when realises what is going on and then how it just makes it all up, great! If the link is missing don’t worry YouTube is just taking a bit of battering at the moment so check back later

Linux Rocks

Now I thought that I would never really get into linux, it was always something that I thought would be something nice to do but hey there’s always windows so there’s no hurry. I have to say its the best Geek out I have had in a long time. Its so much fun learning how to use, the support has been great from Wiki’s, to websites and my own personal Linux Guru for when I needed something explaining quickly (thanks Bob!). I mean yes gone are exe’s and now everything is in some sort of package, and the file system takes a bit of getting use to (I mean come on is that hard to type cp rather than copy) but the sense of achievement has been great I’ve been messing with the GRUB boot loader, splash screens and the rest of it. If anyone has ever thought about about install linux go for it. Its one of the best things I’ve done!!

Popped My Cherry

Well I’ve finally done it, after thinking about it for ages (years to be precise) I have popped my linux cherry and actually install a copy. I have decided on the ubuntu distribution because it seemed easy to install and had a funny name. So as I enter this new and strange world I will keep you posted.
