8mb
By the power of telecomms, I have the bandwith (did you see what I did there?). Yes I have finally been upgraded to 8mb broadband and it is good.

To join in the Halloween fun, Bob and I are going to watch all three saw films in one sitting at the cinema (with a 10min break in between). Why you ask, because it seems like a good idea.
The morning after the blood: I must say that I did enjoy watching the saw marathon, however I didn’t get back home to 1am and probably not asleep before 1:30am possibly 2am so I feel knackered. There was a great atmosphere in the cinema people kept clapping at the end of the films as if to say “Well done for the Jigsaw, he’s a crazy don’t you know”. I didn’t find the 3rd film quite as horrific as the papers were making out but I’m sure that was something to do with watching all 3 films back to back. But Saw 3 did have some particular scary moments and I could hear people gasping through out. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loved the first two films, as this one explains a lot.

As I was on the train this morning to Cadburys I was watching an advert for the Borat film. To see the advert I had to look behind a woman to watch it (she was doing the same as me). No I didn’t know this woman at all and she seemed to have a very serious face on her, but as the advert progress I could see a cheeky little smile crawl across her face which she tried to hide but because I was doing the same she couldn’t as we crossed paths to leave the train she said to me, “It looks funny doesn’t it”. “Yes”, I replied. A moment in time that would not have happened if Borat who was snogging some woman (which turned out to be his sister) didn’t say “She is the 4th best prostitute in Kazakhstan”

I came across this video from one of the youtube RSS feeds, i think its quite a powerful video and feels me with good feelings about the human race in general. The idea for this came from the mondonation website.

So as some of the more astute of you may have noticed I have updated the basic Kubric theme for wordpress, I am now using the far superior K2. K2 has lots of nice touches most of which I plan to mess around with by editing the style sheet, however one of the best things is that I can upload images for the header at the top of the page and have it set randomly so they change each time the page is loaded. If you have some images that you think deserve to be in the header please email them across and I’ll up load them.
On to my main point/s, I love podcasts I think they are brilliant. I’ve been raving on about them for ages, in fact I have bored Katie’s theatre friends to death about them (so much so that one of Katie’s friend called Ben now refers to me only as Podcast!) and they all laughed at the idea and said it was silly. But about 9 months ago they changed their mind when the realised it had all gone mainstream and had to conceed I was right. I used to love using iTunes to download them, it fitted in so nicely with the ipod and I had one app to rule them all. Or I did. Since Apple updated iTunes to version 7, I have hated it. Its slow and has had serious playback bugs (which have been fixed in version 7.0.1) but they changed the interface for podcasts. I have to go to a separate window to see whats happening or cancel a download and it has bothered me so much that I have decided to go back to using a separate program to download podcasts, a program called Juice (originally called iPodder or iPodder Lemon). I previously used Juice before iTunes introduced podcast functionality, it had a clean and simple interface and it worked well. The only thing I have given up by reverting back to Juice is that now my podcasts don’t have the ability to add audio bookmarks. I think that I will continue to look though to see if there’s a better solution out there but for the moment I’m all juiced up.
I found my old iPaq the other day and have decided to turn it into a ebook reader (as I have a few ebooks) but thought it was a bit of a waste and was wondering what else I could use it for when Lifehacker posted this brilliant article.
As I am sure that you are all desperate to know what else I have been up to, I thought I would tell you I have been trying to perfect my batter mix to make top notch Yorkshire pudding’s and toad in the hole. So far this is my second batch and I have defiantly worked out the kinks but remember you also need smoking oil in the baking tray before you put it in the oven as well, otherwise it won’t rise right.
