Humour

So This Christmas

I would like to warn people that there’s a bit of venom in this post about my job.

Wow, what a mental month.  I have never been so busy in all my working life.  Since the re-jig of my job I have hardly seen Katie driven about 2000 miles and hate the new product I’m supporting.  I can finally have a car however I can’t afford one as the tax is going to be crippling for me and I go a rise in line with inflation.  This means that I’m still woefully underpaid but at least the value of money of getting has dropped.  I am still looking for a new job ASAP and will jump ship at the first sign of one coming, I have applied for a few but nothing yet has turned into a interview and its really starting to get on my nerves.  I write this post standing in the server room of Cadbury’s in Bournville, trying to fix a PC which for some reason won’t read a dongle that’s attached when I install a piece of software from a suite of programs.  The other programs from the suite work its just the one that critical doesn’t! I should at home getting ready for a lunchtime drink but it doesn’t look its gonna happen, so this will be the last Christmas I will work for Sartorius!  Screw you guys I’m making a pledge right now that I’m gone by June 2007.

That’s a little better, so Katie and some great times in December 2006, we’ve been to the German market in the city centre which is great and went ice skating twice (once with the kids (Josh, Jacob, Ciara & Rosie)and once with Katie’s Family.  The photo’s are up online on flickr if you wanna look.  Katie and I celebrated our anniversary together of 8 years with a meal at restaurant called Opus with food so good it can only be described as hot sex.  We (well Katie did) put up the Christmas decorations and they are looking great (I’ll take some pics of them as well).  All preparation for India is going well, I have been fully inoculations which means I can’t be killed by anything ;)  I can’t wait to go away and it can’t come soon enough.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Katie and I are heading down to my mum and dad’s to meet up with the family and on Christmas Eve there will be a big extended family meal (including Ameilla’s mum, Rodney and Ann, Jane and Steve, David and baby Jonathan, Christine and Dean) when then head back home to the prep for the Christmas Dinner and round it Katie’s parents for Christmas.  I can’t wait!

I would like to apologise as last year I made a flash Christmas card and emailed it out to everyone, but because of work (grrrr) I haven’t had the time so I am tying to prepare a Christmas photo and send that out which I think I’ll just be able to do but I imagine it will be reaching people in the new year.

So in case I don’t get the chance to do it I want to say a big Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone who reads, cares and actually listens to what I say.

See you on the otherside
