Jonathan Coulton

I must mention this guy, Jonathan Coulton.  I only stumbled across him the other day because of his song code monkey, which is great by the way.  Last year he decided to release a song everyweek for a year through his podcast Thing A Week.  All of his songs are free as podcasts or if you like there’s a link on his main age where you can buy album versions.  I would recommend that you listen to it, there’s some great songs CodeMonkey, Tom Cruise Crazy and an excellent little song called Re: Your Brains which is about zombies.  So please do the right thing and listen now.  His podcast feed is http://feeds.feedburner.com/thingaweek

Comments

I was checking some stuff out on flickr, when I found out some people had actually made comments on them <gasp>, although one of them is from me the other are from complete strangers.

Headphones

I recently had to purchase a new pair of headphones for my iPod as during a camel safari in India we encountered a sand storm.  Katie at the time was listening to Dido’s “Sand In My Shoe” (quite funny really) in the morning and after de-sanding I put my iPod in and realised that the left earbud sounded off.  Upon careful (yes I promise it was careful) opening I poured out quite a bit of sand.  When I put them bud back together and turned on the iPod the left ear bud was dead and didn’t work at all.

I made do in the mean time as Gez kindly bought me a pair of knock-off buds “Super Sound” which although I was very grateful for were very tinny. As soon as I got back I did a bit of research on buying a new pair, thankfully there was a copy of T3 waiting for me and they had a section on headphones, in the end I opted for the Sennheiser MX 90 VC.

I managed to get them for £27 all in.  The sound is excellent although the do feel a bit funny in the ears when they first go in I am extremely happy with my purchase.
