Sky Broadband

Ok well I’ve taken the plunge and completed an online switch from Demon Internet (who Sartorius were with) over to Sky for their max broadband package. Now according to their website the switch over should be a couple of hours so, fingers crossed and lets see if it works.

Update: I really should read things more carefully, it does say it can still take up to 10 days for it to activate.  I still have to wait for a letter to arrive with all my details, Doh!

Katie, Project Sunflower

Project Sunflower

Today is the first post of Project Sunflower.  Last Christmas Katie was given this sunflower in a can to grow by my mum.  As we are both in a lets do things to better our house frame of mind (we have just finsihed trimming and tidying up the back garden), Katie thought that she’d give this a go.  We have completed the following steps:

  1. Remove top ring pull
  2. Add water
  3. Release excess water with bottom ring pull and seal with plastic top

We now have to let nature take its course, as things progress you guys will be the first to know.

Happy Easter

Right as briefly posted yesterday I am no longer working for Sartorius, yes I left them on Wednesday (best day I was sooo happy however it did seem to niggle a few people ;) .  I had the best drive home ever and then had to cope with having to re-jig a few things so that I was able to borrow some bandwidth until I get the MAC code from Simon and Chris and can migrate over to Sky super speedy broadband.  In doing the re-jigging I had to go and buy a new wireless USB adapter.  I chose a Linksys Wireless G adapted WUSB54GS which is excellent picks up quite a few networks that I didn’t see before when I was using a 3com adapter, but then what do you expect the Linksys has the Cisco systems logo on it.

I would like to thank a few people who may or may not read this post.  Simon, Chris, Sally, Michael S, Nick and all of customer services.  Someone who I wouldn’t like to thank is Steve Ellis who wrote what has to be the most stupid and idiotic email ever hypothesizing no my reasons for leaving.  Interestingly enough he’s not my boss (go figure).

Anyway I am now perparing with Katie to head up to see her Auntie in Halifax for a bit of a session and I’ll be taking my camera with me to take some pic’s.

So Happy Easter and expect lots of posts about my new job!!
