In the Bullring

So Katie and I were in town nice and early this morning as its crunch mode week I took a few photos while I was wondering getting the last bits and pieces for the wedding sorted.  I bought some new trainers for the Honeymoon and I saw an awesome pair in sketchers, I think they were a brand of called 360 and they were £100, know is that to muc to spend on a pair.  I thought that they looked awesome, like some sort of crazy moon boots!

I’ve lost the mojo

So its now getting really clsoe to the wedding so much so that I now almost count the days on two hands which I’m sure if anyone who has got married is reading is probably one of the most terrifying prospect.  At the moment Katie (who is doing an amazing job at the moment) and I are sorting out the last bits of the wedding.

Work is spinning down a bit, I’ve still got lots to do but I’ve managed to get through a big lump of stuff at work.  Katie and I have both had our respective Hen and Stag do and both had a really great time at both.

At the moment though I still can’t get excited about work and I’m fidning it a really drain at the moment in fact when I go in all I think about is leaving and I’ve started to fall asleep at work (in the break room but still).  I’m sure its just the whole build up of the wedding, current work load, lack of holiday (looking forward to the honeymoon) but I feel like at the moment my life could do with a reboot.  I’m trying to get inject some geekiness by reading a lot of books and watching some classics such as wargames and also hackers.  Getting excited about writing some code.  Its working to some extent but I’m a little frazzeled and could do with some time off to relax enjoy myself in the sunshine with my very soon to be wife.

Man Barely Alive

I went on my stag this weekend, this is possibly the safest picture.  As you can imagine it was 4am Sunday morning.  How great are these pants!

Lock Jaw Man

For the past couple of weeks there’s been this guy who gets on the train from Coventry to Birmingham at the same time I do.  However whenever I look at him he always and I mean always has this leaning on a walking cane stance (he uses his umbrella for this) and pulls this face which makes his jaw square which gives him a rectangle head.  Its like he’s grimacing but if you look at him he’s not.  He seems very comfortable in that pose.  I have named him Lock Jaw Man.  He’s a picture of LJM.

Briefs

Wow just took a look at the last update and can see its been quite a while so I’ll give you some bullet points:

  • Sony Ericsson W880i died, the screen in them is pretty dodgy so have replace it with a Nokia 6500 slide.
  • Bluetooth syncronisation is amazing and clouding computing really comes into its own with that.
  • Wedding is now one month and 3 days away. Gulp!
  • The stag is next week, double Gulp!!
  • I have fixed a leaky tap and feel manly.
  • Came across an awesome auto update plugin for Wordpress blogs like mine, you can find it here.

Cloudish Computing

Sorry I’ve been a bit lacks with the posts. Things at work have been über busy and if I’m not working then I’m doing wedding stuff or possibly trying to catch up on some sleep. I’ve been trying to set myself up with a cloud computing, trying to make my data avaliable everywhere and more importantly sync across all the platforms I use. I don’t think that it will ever be 100% until you can sync contacts with gmail. I’ve managed to sync all my calendars and contacts using plaxo and have now moved my ipod across to the macbook (which now means all the syncing takes place in the background), which despite being a long process really made me realize that moving from a single of to a cross platform solution is quite a bit of hard work.

2.0

So I have just updated the iPod touch to 2.0 and paid my £6 for it. I must say that I like the app store and I think that some of the functionality is probably best suites the phone but I like it. Now all I need to do is get it synced with the mac and I’m laughing. This post was written using the Wordpress app, nice!
