Katie’s 30th Birthday

It was Katie’s 30th at the weekend and we all had a fantastic time. Starting with a picnic in the park with all the family and friends (the photo is from the cake my mum had made for here).

Everyone had a to bring a something to eat with them and I’ve never seen such food, we had to bring some of it home, if you need any sausage rolls or a meat selection give me a bell

After that Katie and I spent the night at the malmaison, living it up like a couple of swells. Sunday was a glorious relaxing affair with a good breakfast, a spot of shopping, wondering in and out of various galleries and topped of with a combo massage and facial for Katie. She really didn’t want the weekend to stop and neither did I to be honest

So happy birthday beautiful, I love ya lots and looking gorgeous xxx

Lost

Well its happened the end of era (well six years at least), Lost has finished and I’ve been there every step of the way. I’ve been there through the good time (pretty much series 4 onwards) and the bad times (later half of series 2). Watching the finale at the same time as the US was a good thing, gave the event a bit of buzz. While I was happy with the ending they have left some questions unanswered (which I believe that they meant to).

What did you think? Did it get the ending it deserved?

Now all thats left is to buy the box set oh and then reread the wiki for the show which explains a lot

So I Went Skydiving

So on the 28th May, Katie, Angela Mangela Banks (Katie's Mum), Sara (Katie's Auntie) and myself all went on a skydiving jump for Sara's Birthday. We all headed up to North London Parachuting Centre the night before and prepared to do something that really when you think about its quite right, I mean come on jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet, really think about it.

I have to say that I can see why people love it, its the most incredible feeling ever, except of course for the initial freefall which I found terrifying. When the bloke did pull the chute you go from 110mph to 10mph in 2 seconds suffice to say that I had some bruise around some areas.

Now there is video for this but as yet I have to cut it up and upload it, but stayed tuned as i'll upload soon. The photo you can see was taken about 3 minutes before I boarded the plane and the whole serious of the situation started to sink in.

Alan Titchmarsh: How Not To Have A Debate On Video Games

Below is the footage from the Alan Titchmarsh (will call him a-tits from now on, not grown up but it makes me feel better) Show about a debate on video games. Its bollocks, its the worse excuse for a debate I have ever heard. He has a panel of three people, only one of whom has any valid creditability to speak about video games and that man is CVG editor Tim Ingham. How this man kept his cool is beyond me as I think it was a setup.

Julie Peasgood, the the sex expert and soap actress (what is she even doing there?) provides no evidence for any points she making at all, in fact when rebutted with Bryon report she just made a “dopey yeah right, what sort of report is that” type face, complete with the audience booing the government report as well. What is quite funny is that Julie Peasgood was actually the voice for a games character.

The facts are simple, games are rated just like films. They are done like for a reason to protect minors from getting access to content they shouldn’t (you can also argue there are also some just as horrific books around, but for some reason no-one seems to mention them). Parents need to educate their children and make them understand the difference between games and reality, they should stop buying their children games which are are rated 18 or 15 if they aren’t. Games came out of the bedroom a long time ago and stopped being the simple platform game they once were.
