Man Barely Alive

I went on my stag this weekend, this is possibly the safest picture.  As you can imagine it was 4am Sunday morning.  How great are these pants!

Lock Jaw Man

For the past couple of weeks there’s been this guy who gets on the train from Coventry to Birmingham at the same time I do.  However whenever I look at him he always and I mean always has this leaning on a walking cane stance (he uses his umbrella for this) and pulls this face which makes his jaw square which gives him a rectangle head.  Its like he’s grimacing but if you look at him he’s not.  He seems very comfortable in that pose.  I have named him Lock Jaw Man.  He’s a picture of LJM.

Briefs

Wow just took a look at the last update and can see its been quite a while so I’ll give you some bullet points:

  • Sony Ericsson W880i died, the screen in them is pretty dodgy so have replace it with a Nokia 6500 slide.
  • Bluetooth syncronisation is amazing and clouding computing really comes into its own with that.
  • Wedding is now one month and 3 days away. Gulp!
  • The stag is next week, double Gulp!!
  • I have fixed a leaky tap and feel manly.
  • Came across an awesome auto update plugin for Wordpress blogs like mine, you can find it here.

Cloudish Computing

Sorry I’ve been a bit lacks with the posts. Things at work have been über busy and if I’m not working then I’m doing wedding stuff or possibly trying to catch up on some sleep. I’ve been trying to set myself up with a cloud computing, trying to make my data avaliable everywhere and more importantly sync across all the platforms I use. I don’t think that it will ever be 100% until you can sync contacts with gmail. I’ve managed to sync all my calendars and contacts using plaxo and have now moved my ipod across to the macbook (which now means all the syncing takes place in the background), which despite being a long process really made me realize that moving from a single of to a cross platform solution is quite a bit of hard work.

2.0

So I have just updated the iPod touch to 2.0 and paid my £6 for it. I must say that I like the app store and I think that some of the functionality is probably best suites the phone but I like it. Now all I need to do is get it synced with the mac and I’m laughing. This post was written using the Wordpress app, nice!

Trains and Delays

I hate writing a moany post but at the moment its how I feel.  Its been a bit of crazy few weeks, Katie and I have been out and about and about which has meant that the gym has gone by the by and I’m quite conscious of this, because this is how the weight start to goes back on quite quickly.  At the start of this week I wanted to get back into the routine and today is currently Wednesday and so far this week I have tried to go to the gym on Monday and Tuesday evening.  Virgin Train’s however have seen fit to ruin my plans and cause obstructions on the line Monday which delayed my departure from Coventry and thus made me too late to go to the gym.  Tuesday I spent 2 hours sitting in Birmingham International concourse because of a broken down train on the line.

I understand that none of these are Virgin’s faults but its just frustrating when you want to go and things conspire against you!  Today I have not brought my gym stuff (its a big bag to carry everyday to work) with me and surprise surprise its going fine and I’m not late.  Which makes me even more annoyed that I couldn’t go on the other days.  Bloody trains!

My Dad Went To School (Its A Private Joke)

So this weekend Katie, her Dad (Gez), Mum (Angela) and myself are off down to Brighton as Gez and Katie are going sailing over the weekend (weather permitting).  Angela and myself have two pairs of binoculars (one each) so that we can watch them but as I imagine they are going to be quite far away I’m planning to bring the MacBook and hopefully a video camera to film (plus it means I can use iMovie) to film them but hopefully have a bit of a wander around Brighton having never done so by myself before.  If the weather holds it should a lovely weekend break to what will be a busy week when I’m back at work on the Tuesday.
