In the Bullring

So Katie and I were in town nice and early this morning as its crunch mode week I took a few photos while I was wondering getting the last bits and pieces for the wedding sorted.  I bought some new trainers for the Honeymoon and I saw an awesome pair in sketchers, I think they were a brand of called 360 and they were £100, know is that to muc to spend on a pair.  I thought that they looked awesome, like some sort of crazy moon boots!

Briefs

Wow just took a look at the last update and can see its been quite a while so I’ll give you some bullet points:

  • Sony Ericsson W880i died, the screen in them is pretty dodgy so have replace it with a Nokia 6500 slide.
  • Bluetooth syncronisation is amazing and clouding computing really comes into its own with that.
  • Wedding is now one month and 3 days away. Gulp!
  • The stag is next week, double Gulp!!
  • I have fixed a leaky tap and feel manly.
  • Came across an awesome auto update plugin for Wordpress blogs like mine, you can find it here.

My Dad Went To School (Its A Private Joke)

So this weekend Katie, her Dad (Gez), Mum (Angela) and myself are off down to Brighton as Gez and Katie are going sailing over the weekend (weather permitting).  Angela and myself have two pairs of binoculars (one each) so that we can watch them but as I imagine they are going to be quite far away I’m planning to bring the MacBook and hopefully a video camera to film (plus it means I can use iMovie) to film them but hopefully have a bit of a wander around Brighton having never done so by myself before.  If the weather holds it should a lovely weekend break to what will be a busy week when I’m back at work on the Tuesday.

Wedding List

Today it was our turn to really have some, we both headed off to Debenhams to create our wedding list.  Now sadly sense prevailed, I was unable to add either the 40inch HD Sony Bravia telly or the Krupps coffee machine because people might that we really want them and instead of people buying the various kitchenware (and there was a lot of kitchen ware items added) they might all club together to and buy us them instead *humbug*

Katie I must admit really enjoyed running around with a barcode scanner, scanning stuff.  In fact I think that she enjoyed it a little too much but we both had a really great day it was fun picking stuff we would ask people to buy for us.  I did have to take a break at one point to grab some doughnuts, not for myself but for work tomorrow.  I ended up getting 3 boxes of twelve, and walking around the bullring with that many doughnuts by your side can make you feel like quite a bloatter.  By the end of the day we were both really pleased by what we had put on.  You can follow the link here and just enter Katie’s and my surname on the right to be taken to our list or you can go into the store.

London Baby

So this weekend Katie and I went down to London to meet up with Chris, Lou, Jon, Amelia and Amelia’s brother Hugh for Amelia’s 30th birthday.  We all stayed in the yha across from St Pancras except for Chris and Lou who tooj their time deciding if they were going to come and ended up staying in some B&B further away.

It was good to see everyone again although at the moment its almost like the summer of Garner’s, we’ve seen my family over the last 2 weekends and we have another 2 big family events to come.  I think that Katie might be getting withdrawal symptoms from not seeing her family :)

The night was good although to be honest I got a bit carried away and had a few lemonades and then I don’t really remember much I do think at one point I had a Jaeger Bomb as always the photos are up on flickr.

Sunday Katie and pottered around London for a bit heading off to Spittlefields market and trendy Shoreditch for a few minutes I was quite captivated by the market and the whole vibe of the place and considered moving there before I realised that it would cost a fortune.  Oh well there’s always the lottery.

A Small Confession

I have a small confession to make I believe that I have a slight tent fetish.  Every so often Katie and I go camping in our tent of love, its great a bit of a bugger to put up but its great.  Its seen us through the sun of clent, the rain at V festival and also the harsh wind of Scarborough.

However yesterday I went and had a of a re style at the barbers and while I was waiting I quickly glanced through Stuff and it had a look to a website called Outdoor World and it had what looked a really good deal on a tent.  So as soon as I got back in front of the PC I pointed firefox at it.  I started getting that feeling which only meant that in seconds I would be reaching for my wallet and buy buy buy.  I decided to do a very safe thing and open C# and start looking at overloading a class.  After I moved my wallet far from my reach I went back and had a look.

There’s the Vango Beta 250 which I like because its got a porch and also it seems as though you get a small ground sheet as well which is handy as well as lots of vents for keeping you cool.   The other is the Khyam Sherpa 2 which has the same porch but it has these really cool roof things just take a look.  They are both only £50 so if we do decided to go somewhere I’m gonna buy one.  Which reminds if I’m gonna do that its time to put the golf clubs, game cube and also a linksys router on ebay…
