Painting

Well despite it being a lovely sunny weekend, we haven’t seen much of it as we have been redecorating the kitchen. We are nearly finished after the mad painting spurt of yesterday where my motto was do it fast not right. Here are some photos Kitchen1.jpg Kitchen2.jpg Kitchen3.jpg of our work in progress.

The Dogs

I’m quite excited as this evening Katie and I are off to the Dogs in Perry Barr, I’ve never been before so I need to go and brush up on all the terms. Don’t want it to took like I have no idea what I am doing

Trying Different Things

We got this little booklet in The Independant on Sunday, which describes the no diet diet. It seems as though its all about ways of braking habits that you have formed over time and also brake the eating habits associated (I think I actually haven’t read it but Katie has, I just like the picture on the cover) so you have to agree to do something different. This week I have planned to write a story and also planned to see a sporting event (Katie and I have both agreed to do this so we are gonna and see the dog racing in Perry Barr, which is just down the road).

I’m quite looking forward to the dogs but I have no idea what to write about….

3 Updates

OK sorry its been so long a lot has happened over the past week, Katie’s birthday, finding a place for the wedding and I was also in a little car accident.  I will write something about all of these tonight (hopefully).

I also wanted to let you know I’m trying a silly little side project for the next month where I try and take a picture a day for the next month.  It’ll be done using my Sony Ecrisson W880i and I’ll be uploading them up to flickr daily(ish)

Project Sunflower

Today is the first post of Project Sunflower.  Last Christmas Katie was given this sunflower in a can to grow by my mum.  As we are both in a lets do things to better our house frame of mind (we have just finsihed trimming and tidying up the back garden), Katie thought that she’d give this a go.  We have completed the following steps:

  1. Remove top ring pull
  2. Add water
  3. Release excess water with bottom ring pull and seal with plastic top

We now have to let nature take its course, as things progress you guys will be the first to know.

Headphones

I recently had to purchase a new pair of headphones for my iPod as during a camel safari in India we encountered a sand storm.  Katie at the time was listening to Dido’s “Sand In My Shoe” (quite funny really) in the morning and after de-sanding I put my iPod in and realised that the left earbud sounded off.  Upon careful (yes I promise it was careful) opening I poured out quite a bit of sand.  When I put them bud back together and turned on the iPod the left ear bud was dead and didn’t work at all.

I made do in the mean time as Gez kindly bought me a pair of knock-off buds “Super Sound” which although I was very grateful for were very tinny. As soon as I got back I did a bit of research on buying a new pair, thankfully there was a copy of T3 waiting for me and they had a section on headphones, in the end I opted for the Sennheiser MX 90 VC.

I managed to get them for £27 all in.  The sound is excellent although the do feel a bit funny in the ears when they first go in I am extremely happy with my purchase.
