Happy New Year!

Yeah I know its late quite late but I’ve been trying to find the time since I got back from Scotland to come up something interesting to say. Sadly the truth is that at the moment I don’t have anything to say.

As always at the start of a new year I am full of hope and optimism of the year ahead. I’ve started training and as I may have committed myself to run a half marathon towards the end of the year and I apologise to everyone who say my belly (sadly I’m not in the fine shape I was a 6 months ago) at the gym but rest assured I will be using that as motivation each time I go. At some point I hope to back and better than I was in June, well good enough to run a half marathon.

I’ve also had to make my regular resolutions which I won’t reveal, I’ve written them down and placed them side an envelope and sealed it so I can look at by June and seem if I was in the right frame of mind when I made them. Christmas was good spent with the family, I got to say goodbye to my brother Jon who has left the country now for Australia, to marry Amelia. That was pretty painful and I still miss him quite a lot its just not the same to be able to ring him after I have been to the cinema to see an awesome film. New years was spent with Katie’s family and we rented a cottage up in Scotland from the 29/12 to the 3/01 and it was beautiful up there, cold but beautiful (as always photos can be seen here).

So enough random ramblings I’m off to read some rss (withdrawal from not being near a computer of Christmas) and see what the latest rumour about Steve Jobs is.

Happy New Year Everyone

Today is the first post of Project Sunflower. Last Christmas Katie was given this sunflower in a can to grow by my mum. As we are both in a lets do things to better our house frame of mind (we have just finsihed trimming and tidying up the back garden), Katie thought that she’d give this a go. We have completed the following steps:

Remove top ring pull

Add water

Release excess water with bottom ring pull and seal with plastic top

We now have to let nature take its course, as things progress you guys will be the first to know.
