Yesterday Rob, Steve and myself were once again hosting ESP on rhubarb radio. It was a Rock a Billy special and you can get a full tracking listing for the show here, should you feel inclined to bulk up your itunes library. It was good fun as always and we’re working on the format so it’ll shine so stay tuned for the next show in 2 weeks. We have a twitter account for the show (@espradio) and a new blog.

This week’s theme was about gaming and we talked in depth about E3 2009 which happened in June. Touching on such excellent games including Mario Galaxy 2, Super Mario Bros. for the Wii, Milo and the Secret of Monkey Island. We also touched on every interesting conversation I over heard at the brum bloggers about the luminescence of ginger pubes.

Katie’s Birthday

So Friday was Katie’s 29th birthday, which she revelled in greatly by saying “hey at least I’m not as old as you are!” (I’m only one year older!). She had a great day starting off with a surprise breakfast with her mum and dad at ours. I got up extra early to blow up balloons and cause a lot of mess in the kitchen while making the breakfast. We had toast, marmalade, blueberry jam, poached eggs and special scrambled eggs on English muffins with herbed butter, sausages, mushrooms and beans and a tiny little chocolate muffin as Katie’s birthday cake. Later on in the evening we all headed out into town as you can see from the photos. When we all came back to the house Katie only wanted to do 3 things:

Open the Moet from my party
Play Buzz
Put on her wedding dress

As it was her birthday we all obliged, in fact I felt a little left out and went and put on my wedding suit. It was a brilliant day and Katie had an excellent time. Now all energies are devoted to planning Katie’s 30th Birthday which will be a joint party between and her auntie Sara (who will be turning 40). At the moment the current theme is a roller disco.

Unboxing My New PS3

Here’s me excitedly setting up my new PS3. I bloody love that console, so far I have played Little Big Planet, which is just a beautiful game, so well crafted. The only thing that spoilt the whole experience was doing a system updated (it took an hour) and then applying 7, yes 7 updates to Little Big Planet. However that frustration did disappear once I started playing it.
